Evangelization · formation · mercy

A mission of mercy

The Eudist mission strengthens faith, prepares people for service in the Church, and responds with compassion to people in need.

Evangelization and formation

An overview of the mission’s three connected expressions: renewing faith, forming ministers and pastoral leaders, and putting the spirituality of mercy into concrete service.

New evangelization

A call to share the Gospel through prayer, personal witness, teaching, and apostolic work, with attention to making the person of Jesus known.

Formation of good laborers for the Gospel

Formation equips priests and other ministers for quality pastoral service and supports the awakening of vocations in response to the Church’s needs.

Together for the mission

Eudist community life nurtures communion and sends members to serve. The mission joins evangelization, formation, and mercy.

Discernment and formation

Vocations

People exploring priesthood or brotherhood are accompanied through a gradual process of discernment, study, prayer, and service.

Meet the discerners

Profiles introduce people discerning an Eudist vocation and offer a personal view of the questions, experiences, and decisions involved.

Responding to God’s call

Vocation is framed broadly: every baptized person is called to holiness and to take an active part in the life of the Church, while some are called to ordained or religious life.

A call to holiness

The spiritual tradition of Saint John Eudes presents holiness as a baptismal calling for all Christians, not only those in religious life.

Eudist formation process

The U.S. formation journey is described in four stages: discernment, candidacy, probation, and incorporation. It supports personal growth, prayer, and preparation for mission.

House of Jesus and Mary

HOJAM is presented as a house of formation and discernment for young men considering Eudist priesthood in the U.S. region.

Our seminarians

The formation plan includes full-time study in philosophy and theology, supervised ministry placements, prayer, and spiritual direction. A seminarian’s journey shows how study, prayer, and ministry shape formation.

Taking the first step

People drawn to serving Christ, prayer, and parish life can speak with the vocation director and arrange a personal conversation about discernment.
