A work of formation
Founded in Church Point, the Saint-Jean-Eudes Juvenate settled permanently in Bathurst in September 1921, when Sacred Heart College reopened. Two years later, the juvenists moved into Blessed John Eudes House, vacated by the novices and seminarians who had left for Charlesbourg. The institution welcomed and formed young men considering a vocation in the Congregation of Jesus and Mary. Studies, prayer, sports, outings, and theatre shaped their community life.
